| St. Michael's Episcopal Church Welcomes You! |

Brief History
St. Michael’s Church was organized in 1718 by laypersons in the town of Bristol and continued its early growth with the help of clergy sent by the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts, a missionary society in London. We are one of the 4 original colonial Anglican parishes in RI, which were also the incorporators of The Diocese of RI in 1790. St. Michael’s has occupied the corner of Hope & Church Streets since 1720, and we now worship in the fourth building on this site that was completed in1861. Since its start, St. Michael’s has had 16 rectors. The history of this parish is the story of the lives of its people united in faith & prayer.
Mission St. Michael's Church's mission is to embody the Good News of Jesus Christ through our worship, education, outreach and pastoral care, and in his name to serve, to heal, to reconcile and to liberate.
St. Michael's invites you to explore our Web Site, share a worship service with us and learn more about our programs and parish family.

SMC Capital Campaign Update. We continue to receive positive responses from our letter that was sent on October 15th to our parish members who had not yet participated in joining our Capital Campaign efforts. Thank you for your participation! For those who received the letter and have not responded, please help reach our goal of 100% participation.
This is also a reminder that if you have made a pledge to the Capital Campaign please make your payments on a timely basis so that they match the annual, quarterly, or monthly payment terms that you chose at the time of your pledge. As year end approaches, now is a good time to bring your pledge payments up to date.
Remember, your gift to support Preserve our Future is meaningful at every level. If you prefer using a credit card to make your gift, you may go online at www.stmichaelsbristolri.org and click on "Support Us", then click "Donate" for the Capital Campaign. Capital Campaign pledge forms are also available at the back of the church.
